It's been a while (more than a year, in fact) since the original Machine Assisted Visual Novel Reading. (If you're unfamiliar, it's recommended reading!) My programming skills have not advanced at all since then, sadly. However, for a while now, I've been using a cleaned up version of the previous script for my own purposes. Since I made a few simple but effective improvements, I figure it wouldn't hurt to spread it around, so here goes:

There's a new doujin fighting game in town that's been taking the netplay community by storm (no pun intended!) Scarlet Weather Rhapsody is one of the latest 2D fighters to appear on the scene. It's a good source of entertainment, though not quite yet balanced. (Yes, it's been out since 5/24, but who's counting?)
While the previously outlined method for automatic dictionary lookup and Visual Novels proved to be quite successful, a friend of mine mentioned that he was too lazy to poke his way through the text...
The opening for the latest work by KeyAni. Clannad starts on Oct 4th and expectations are high. I get the same vibe that I did watching the Kanon (2006) opening, and I hardly know a thing about the original game. Should be a great run though, given their track record in these collaborations~
